Don't let sprinkle more salt and pepper into Arsene's and 'arry's wounds - 8:2 and 1:5 and
the press are bad enough. Whatever goes wrong in North-London we want to take a view of a
fantasy manager.
It is quite obvious that Arsenal and Spurs defender are not in demand after what happened.
The gunners sold their stars in midfield so only Walcott and up front Van Persie are good
bets. Spurs midfield is disolving as well as Van der Vaart and Kranjcar went off injured,
Modric is on his way out and Bale can't find his boots. And Spur's strikers are nowhere to
be seen.
At Old Trafford things are looking rosy though their defence leaked twice; but it seems itwas a lack of consentration by United's back-line. In midfield Ashley Young is scoring goals
and he is forming a solid partnership with Rooney - 3 Young assists and 3 Rooney goals. A
fantasy manager has to spend 22 million for the pair but you may need to do so to compete in
this game.
At Eastlands in the blue corner of Manchester another pair is forming a dangerous threat:
new signing Nasri is feeding now Dzeko, with a devastating effect on Tottenham. This pair is
available for 'only' 18 million. There is still Aguero and Tevez, and Silva, and Yaya Toure
..... City's defence conceded some unneccessary goals the last two weeks but they are still
a strong unit.
Wolves are still going strong managing another clean sheet in a Midlands derby in a nil-all
draw against Aston Villa. Ward is becoming a 'star' for a bargain price of 4.5 million but
the real star is Roger Johnson organising the former leaky Wolves defence. The Villians
didn't do enough in this game.
Swansea and Sunderland as well shared the points in a nil-all draw. Vorm confirmed once more
his form and the Black Cats are now more solid in defence since O'Shea and Brown are first
team starters.
Chelsea had to put in a hard shift to defeat newcomer Norwich. Bosingwa is Chelsea's right-
back under the new coach and he confirmed the coach's trust scoring the first goal. Drogba
got injured and Torres still hasn't arrived. Juan Mata - the new man - came on late and
scored in stoppage time.
Everton had to fight and were very lucky to win in Blackburn. The home team missed 2
penalties (Howard saved one, the other hit the post) and Everton won the game when Arteta
scored from the spot very late.
Liverpool cruised to a comfortable 3:1 versus Bolton conceding late. Skrtel, Henderson and
Adam scored, Downing played well but Carroll isn't there yet. Suarez had a sort of a break
from scoring. Bolton's Klasnic scored again and is a hot bet in the lower price bracket.
Newcastle continued their good start to the season beating Fulham 2:1. Best came back from
injury and scored the winner. Fulham disappointed again particularly their defence. Dempsey
is back on the score sheet.
Hodgson's WBA can't get off the ground - this time they lost at home to Stoke; sub Shotton
scored the winner. Stoke's defence is becoming an iron wall, Begovic in goal and four (4!)
centre-backs (Huth, Shawcross, Woodgate and Upson - what a choice).
Wigan did what they had to do - winning at home to a promoted club. Queens Park Rangers were
only average and Wigan's striker diSanto was the difference - by the way at 5.5 million a
bargain. Al-Habsi was again a solid performer in goal of the home team.
